History

In 2009, 3 really cool guys, Richie McCaw, Dan Carter and Ali Williams launched the FOR EVERYONE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION (now iSPORT FOUNDATION).

Objectives

Inspiring youth in sport.

Projects funded

The Foundation favours supporting complete projects rather than donating towards a large project which costs considerably more than $5000. If organizations do apply for a grant towards a large project, the Foundation would favour supporting a specific part of the project rather than donating ‘into the pot’.
The Foundation provides grants that bring the community together and will have a positive effect on many people within that community. This could include but is not limited to:
• repairs or building work to community or sporting facilities, playgrounds or other property
• community events that bring the community together, encourage participation and increase community spirit
• projects that provide assistance to the most needy or vulnerable members of the community
• projects that encourage physical activity and healthy behaviour such as sports clubs, youth groups, music and dance, cookery and gardening

Excluded projects

• individuals
• overseas organisations and clubs
• we do not fund teams to go to international events
• loans or debts
• we do not fund retrospectively
• salaries or wages
• prizes, gifts or trophies
• any publicity material
• organisations without annual accounts
• groups that have been in existence for less than 12 months
• funds must be spent within one year after receiving the grant

Activities funded

• niforms
• footwear
• competition entry fees
• travel and accommodation (conditions apply)
• equipment (balls, practice equipment, etc)

iSport Foundation

Decision time

All FULL applications will be reviewed, and the final applicants will be selected by staff and the Trustees of the iSport Foundation after the submission round is closed. We look at each applicant and base decisions on availability of funding, merit of the application, compliance, and the overall effect it may have in a community.

Following receipt of your Application, the ISPORT Foundation may approve your Application for hosting on ISPORT, in which case your Application will become a ‘ISPORT Grant Project’. The ISPORT Foundation will endeavour to inform you if your Application has been approved as a ISPORT Grant Project within 28 days of receipt of your Application.

How notified

We will notify you by email if you are successful within 6 weeks of the closing of a grant round.

How paid

Payments will be made directly into a recipients bank account and can only be used for approved purchases based on the application.

Conditions of acceptance

A receipt must be supplied immediately (within two weeks) on receiving the funds, and proof of purchase receipts must be supplied within four months.
