What is a risk management policy?
A risk management policy is a brief document that explains the principles your organisation will follow for managing risk. The policy also outlines the process for managing risk, and who is responsible for the different aspects of risk management in your organisation.
Having a risk management policy is a formal way of showing that your organisation is committed to managing risk. You can refer to the policy whenever you have a question about the risk management process and responsibilities.
Review your risk management policy and update it regularly.
